Are you looking for an engaging speaker for young women, one they’ll relate to and trust?
As a social worker, I’ve helped hundreds of young women navigate their way through pregnancy and early parenthood. As a speaker and advocate for women, I nurture their growth and build confidence. And I can bring all of this experience, plus tools and resources, to your next in-person or online event.
The perfect blend of head and heart
I speak from my own life experience as an energetic and motivated young mum together with decades of experience working one-on-one with women in a clinical setting. I know what it’s like to not know where to start; to feel lost and crave a friendly ear from someone who really gets it.
Through storytelling and practical information, my goal is to inspire, educate and empower young women to realise they can have a life hey want. I can talk to larger groups about a range of topics, or work closely with smaller, more personal groups, where the topics might be more challenging or sensitive.
Here are some of the topics I can speak about at your event.
Being a young mum
I intimately know the stigma that surrounds young mums (I had my first child in year 12). As an aspirational speaker for women in a similar position, I can share my story and what resources and advice made all the difference to get me to where I am today.
Expecting and new parents
I know becoming pregnant and a new parent can be a time of excitement, while also a time of uncertainty, increased pressure and stress. Sometimes you can feel alone and question whether what you are feeling is 'normal'. I speak about the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of pregnancy and becoming a parent.
Safe and respectful relationships
In my clinical practice, setting healthy boundaries was key for young women to be able to feel safe. I can share how to recognise power and control, and help identify when they’re at risk (and what to do about it) and the services and supports available.
Resilience and transformation
We all experience difficult things in life. But I want young women to realise that they have the power to recover from the tough times and transform how they move forward. Resilience is a skill that we build and develop over time – and I’m here to show you how.
Media trained and ready to roll!
I’m available to speak on network television or be interviewed on your podcast. I’m media trained and comfortable in front of the camera, so when you work with me you won’t have to work hard to get a good interview or an interesting perspective.
